Has anyone gone sky diving? I have always wanted to do it. There is an airport down the street from me that specializes in it, but honestly, they have had several accidents there so I am a bit reluctant. I think I would rather do it on vacation somewhere.

Anyway, I think the first three times you are attached to an instructor. (at least here) You also have to take a test, but other than that, it is pretty simple to get out and do.

I did a tandem jump from 14000ft at Mission Beach in Queensland. It was supposed to be 1 minute freefall, but it didnt feel like that. Perhaps it was the adrenalin.

Great fun and when the chute opens its nice and relaxing just winding you way down to the ground.

Bungee jumping is scarier however :)

You know I actually loop both of those together. I would be terrified doing either. I say that I'm interested in doing both, but it is just one of those things... I don't know if I could actually go through with it.

Someday though, maybe. Haha.

I've never been skydiving before but i'm sure i'll give it a crack before I kick the bucket. I always say next summer, next summer - but then summer comes...and summer goes.

One day i'll grow a pair, one day.

But not today. :(

A few guys from our office went last week and loved it. There are a few different providers on the outskirts of Sydney

I've never been in Oz, did it in Canada a few years back. Where do you reckon is the best spot? They do it here in Coffs Harbour which would be awesome on a clear day

Did an Army water jump and nearly drowned.

Always wanted to do free fall.

Potentially a missed tick off the bucket list.

I'm the same, i want it to be on the to do list but then i hear about all those shoots not opening.... i guess i'll do it one day, just because i have to!

i did bungy jumping in Cairns. i almost didn't jump, i was all set to go then i just started shaking and i couldn't jump. The guy that worked there came up to me and started talking crap in my ear for so long that i wanted to jump just to shut him up. I think he was trying to be encouraging but i have no idea what he was saying. anyway, it worked for me!

i would recommend bungy jumping though, but i would actually recommend trying to do it a couple of times in one day. because you might find the first time you do it, you're too scared to enjoy it!

Hi darley

I've done 2 jumps now from 14000ft and loved it!!! Went Bungy jumping in Cairns a couple of weeks ago too and that was great. If you are wanting to do your course (I'm looking into it too) then you have to do a few jumps attached like you said and then they hold you for a couple and then you can start going solo. there is the A,B and C licences.

I know there is a place called Skydive Ramblers that do courses at a dropzone called Toogoolawah outside of Brisbane and it is considered a world class dropzone and they are very professional and safe.

If your looking for Tandem options there are places all over Australia and a lot of them jump onto a beach which is what I did and it was great. Mission beach, Coffs harbour, Sunshine coast, Byron Bay all have jump the beach. If you go to one of the booking sites like tourstogo or godo they usually have all the places you can do it.

Hope this helps and have fun jumping. If you do the course before me let me know how it goes on here.

Ciao
