Hey guys,
Just tossing around a few ideas and was thinking a road trip from LA to Miami would be pretty awesome. About 4500 km drive so over a week or 2 it wouldnt be too much driving...
Anyone done anything like this?
What are some good attractions between the 2?
What are costs/issues with hiring a car in the US?
Cheers

Grand Canyon in Arizona, Big Texan Steakhouse in Amarillo, TX, Planters Peanut factory with the world's largest Mr. Peanut in Fort Smith Arkansas, Largest cross, barbed-wire museum... Just follow I-10 and look around.

Sedona is well worth seeing on the way through, if you're going to be heading near Grand Canyon...

The Raleigh is my favorite hotel at the South Beach. I love the vibe, the food, the pool area and the location. I haven't been in the Betsy since it was completed, the location is very central but you do have to walk across the street to get to the beach.

I have done a road trip in reverse of this route - Atlanta to LA. Fantastic trip. We didn't do the most direct route, decided to incorporate Nashville and Memphis for the great music scene, ducked down to New Orleans to lap up some different culture. We followed Route 66 briefly in Texas, and had a lengthy stop at the Grand Canyon for some rafting.
There is so much to see - a trip like this is definitely worth it!
Happy travels!

If you can, go a bit further north into Utah as well....AMAZING canyons and great hiking!

I don't know too much about the places. Hiring a car in US can be a bit costly. But you can still go for shuttle services if required. Try rrshuttle.com. I think this might be helpful.

Also not sure how old you are, but a lot of car rental companies in the US will only rent to you if you're 25 or older.
