What are some saftey tips for traveling internationally?

I wrote an article on my blog about travel safety in Jamaica, not a masterpiece but it gets plenty of traffic. I guess it would really depend on where you are traveling to and in some cases where you are traveling from.

My biggest tip for going anywhere is not acting like an a**hole tourist (degrading everyone, snapping fingers, telling people to learn better English, not learning a little about where you are going, ignoring local customs)

Dont flash heaps of cash around. Be discreet about it, otherwise it will make you a target for pick pockets
