North Korea, officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), is a state in East Asia, occupying the northern half of the Korean Peninsula. Its capital and largest city is Pyongyang. The border between North Korea and South Korea is called the Korean Demilitarized Zone. The Amnok River is the border between North Korea and China. The Tumen River in the extreme north-east is the border with Russia.

I just watched a show about someone who managed to get a visa to go to North Korea for 3 weeks. It was quite amazing actually.

Some of the more interesting points I took from it:

Party members have to have blood tests for AIDS once every 3 months, non party members once a year.

Everything is highly structured, and for the show the cameras were only allowed to see the best side

Everything is paid for in USD or Euro.

Farmers dont recieve an income, they get goods and food for the next years farming.
