Hey everyone, I'm backpacking around Europe. I fly into London on June 17th and fly out on August 18th.

The countries/cities I want to visit are;
Uk (London/Liverpool)
Netherlands (Amsterdam)
Denmark (Copenhagen)
Germany (Berlin/Hamburg)
Czech Republic (Praque)
Poland (Krakow)
Hungary (Budapest)
France (Paris)
Belgium

Can anyone please tell me the best/easiest/quickest order to do this in.
Obviously starting and finishing in London. And I have to be in Belgium from the 26th to the 30th of July.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

Sounds like a great trip! Summer is a great time to visit Europe but it is very busy. Book ahead where you can but try to be flexible.

The Belgium stop does make it awkward. Perhaps start by flying to Hungary or Poland and working your way back.

Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, France, UK.

That gives 18 days in France/UK which is plenty.

You can easily tweak some of those western countries around if you want to spend more or less time in particular countries.

Hi Kaino,

Welcome to ATF.

I would also suggest checking out each individual countries thread to get some further information about each country.

Thanks for your help guys. Do you reckon getting planes is the easiest way of transport and does it cost much more than trains/buses??

It depends how early you book because. If you are a student or under 24 or 26 (can't remember which age), you can get good deals on train tickets. I don't know what other travellers used but visit http://www.eurail.com/home (http://www.eurail.com/home)for starters :)

Most backpackers/travellers tend to use buses because they are a lot cheaper...but can be horrid at times because you can easily find yourself on a 12hour bus ride, therefore making you lose a day - not to mention it just ain't pleasant.

Of course if you book plane tickets in advance, they can be really cheap. Ryan Air/Easy Jet etc.

If you are going to neighbouring countries (kind of like my order) then trains are usually the best way to go. Buses are cheaper and sometimes have more convenient stops but are often slow or delayed.

You could try to find some cheap plane flights for some of the longer legs but you'll probably find it getting expensive due to summer.

I would say fly in and out of a major airport. The reason for that is less connections and therefore a cheaper international flight to/from home.

Then I would try group a few countries together that are close to each other.
For example you could start off in Germany (which Luftansa flys direct via Asia), then follow through to the Netherlands or Poland, which are both close to Germany.

Also by grouping them in countries that are close to each other, you will have more options for travelling. i.e. Some places may be cheaper to travel by train or bus to each other.
