TOURISTS heading south for the winter may be transported to their dream destination in windowless airliners flying in formations like geese if Airbus accepts the advice of tomorrow's potential aircraft engineers.
The European planemaker is offering 30,000 euros for the best idea drawn from proposals submitted by 2,350 students in 82 countries after launching a global competition for new concepts

Not too sure what people would make of sitting in a plane without windows, i dont think they would like it, it wouldbe like being stuck in a tube (that you cant see out of).
The idea is based on the premise that the plane will create less drag, therefre being more efficient, but i think most people think about themselves first and the environment second.
