Right, I'm off to the US in August, departing Brisbane for LA on the 12th.

I'll spend some time in LA, San Diego and Phoenix doing touristy things then head over to some relatives in Dallas for a few weeks. Then its Vegas time.

1. Accomodation

I originally booked a week in Circus Circus, cause I liked the idea of going downstairs and hopping on a rollercoaster when I couldn't sleep, plus it'd be great for my niece. But then my friends decided we hadn't had a holiday together for some time now, and that we should all meet up in Vegas - for a month.

So the competition started - my friend "John" booked out the most expensive suite in the Bellagio, my friend "James" booked a suite each for him and his girlfriend in the MGM Grand and now I need a luxurious, expensive hotel. So I looked at Luxor, which seems nice, but the best rooms are in the tower and why stay at a pyramid shaped hotel when you don't get to stay in the pyramid?

My niece and girlfriend are still only staying a week at Circus Circus heading back to Brissie, so I just need accomodation for one in an expensive, fun-filled resort.

2. Entertainment

What are the very best casinos in Vegas? And are there any stripclubs on the actual strip? My girlfriend and I are going to see "Fantasy" at the Luxor in our first week, but my friends and I are going to want to see something a little more tasteless.

3. Car Rental

I do not want a Toyota Prius. I do not want a Suzuki Swift. I want Saleen's, Bugatti's, Ferrari's, Koenigseggs.

Last time my friends and I were in the US (New York) I had a Lamborghini Gallardo, John a Corvette C6 Z06 and James a Saleen S7. So I'd like a go in a Saleen, if anyone knows where I could rent one. Or better yet, if anyone knows where to get a Koenigsegg it'd be appreciated.

4. Anything Else?

I want to appreciate Sin City for the thrills and money, and live the dream of fast cars, beautiful women and 5 star resorts. So if anyone knows any good things to do for a group of guys in Vegas, I'd like to know. Money is no object for this trip.

Cheers.

Well it isn't an object until I get back to Australia and realise I have no money left, so I'll write most of it off as necessary business expenditure.

Does anyone have any tips?

Hi again Dredgy,

I have never been to Vegas myself, but i did a bit of searching for you and came up with these two sites with regards to exotic car hires:

http://www.vegasexoticrentals.com/

http://www.vipnvegas.net/exotic-car-rentals-vegas.cfm

At least that will give you a rough idea of prices etc, and hopefully one of our members who has been to Vegas should be able to answer your other questions soon :)

I'll be happy to carry your bags and make entertainment arrangements for $1m. :)

If you do get a good hotel, the concierge will be able to do recommend the best places for you to go, get you in places not normally available to the public, organize all the car hire for you and if your really lucky (and tip well), they might be able to organize some stuff.

My advise, is to just organize a limo to your hotel and let the concierge do most of the work. Local advise is usually the best.

Cheers. I am staying in an MGM Skyloft and have purchased tickets to Tom Jones, David Copperfield and Fantasy at Luxor.

And why the title of this thread was just to attract attention, I worked out the logistics of hiring a Ferrari on unlimited miles, for the time I will be there will cost me so much it would actually be cheaper to buy one, so I may do that or rent something cheaper - like a Lotus.

I've also contacted a charter company to hire a private Boeing 767 to fly me in from Frisco or LA, though I'm expecting the cost to require me to split the bill with my friends and all of us to fly together.

Thanks for your help. I am now pretty much bankrupt, so my girlfriend will be dumping me after this trip :p

You could just buy the Ferrari and sell it when you leave, deprecation might be 30k, but by the looks of things that's better then renting it.

Regarding jet charter, I have heard that Blue Star Jets are a reputable company, they offer in flight massages.

Sounds like one hell of a trip, I hope you know how to gamble!

Off next week, shall be good.

I am seriously considering it.

The costs are actually working out to be around the $900k mark, and I really didn't think I'd be hitting anywhere near that. Money is actually turning out to be a bit of a problem. I have the money to spend, but I'm sure there are better things I could be doing with it, but oh well I suppose.

However I do expect perks from being a "high-roller", I can play well, but I doubt I'm as good as some of those in Vegas, so I hope I can make some of the money back from free accomodation and the like.
