Well I thought that since we have a 'Beer of the World (http://www.aussietravellersforum.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=35)' thread, we should have one for wine also.

I am not a wine buff, but i know there is plenty of good Aussie, in particular South Australian wines. Peter Lehman, Dorian Estate and Bethany are all a few of the smaller wineries that spring to mind.

What about everyone else?

I'm not a wine expert either but i do like a glass of red but really like Port! (and not embarrsed to admit it!)There are some great wineries on philip island in Vic and its small enough to get round them in 1 day - just make sure you choose a driver before you go!

Yeh i dont drink much wine myself, but love a good Port or Muscat also BH :)

Peter Lehman does a good Muscat with a nice peppery finish too it, and there is a tiny little winery in the Barossa Valley (SA) called Dorian Estate that produce a killer White Port (my old man actually used to supply them with grapes), its like drinking velvety white chocolate. Yumm!
