If you travel with a laptop, you know how it is - wireless internet can be a bit patchy in some places.

If you've travelled to a country and you found a good way to get cheap, reliable, fast wireless internet - a local provider, a coffee shop chain with free wireless, anything really - let us know in this thread.

I've found that in Asia in the major cities you can get decent wireless internet - sometimes free and sometimes paid (in a coffee shop its often free) but once you get outside of the cities no chance - your on to dial up speed!

in India ,it is available in the metro cities of delhi, bengaluru and few more. First city was Ambala in Punjab which was 3 G enabled. However it is progressing rapidly and lot of cities are now in the network.

wifi is widely available.

Funnily enough Vietnam was the best place I've travelled for wifi and it was all free. Most of the smaller hotels had computers in the rooms with free internet which was pretty amazing.:)

Does anybody know about the wireless internet situation in Japan? I'm not talking so much about hotels and motels but cafes, libraries and Universities.

I installed a WiFi tracker in my laptop or my iPhone (there's an app for that). Data charges can be expensive so I try to look for free WiFi spots.
