Anyone interested? Thinking of leaving in April/May next year, start in Xianjiang and go across the Silk Road into Kazakhstan/Uzbekistan etc into Turkey, then up into Europe and through to home.
I've decided on this route as its one of the safest (compared to going the southern route via pakistan, afghanistan iran/iraq!).
Plan is to cycle throughout the day and get to villages/towns and sleep in any accommodation available and possibly use some trains for the really remote parts.

Hi Londnr,
This sounds like a mammoth trip! I take it you are alrady an avid cyclist, but how long do you anticipate it will take? And how much training have you been doing?
Make sure you keep us all updated :)

Oh I don't know but it sounds a bit unbelievable, its that possible, are you really serious with your plan? Would you be able to do it? Well, just wish you have a good trip...

With this adventure in mind you'll be needing a huge amount of preparation for the trip from China to London Expedition. It means this is the toughest long-distance bicycle ride and I it require that you are physically fit to complete your mission.
I forgot I think I have seen a movie before the story was about a man who travel around the world using only the motorcycle. I'm having a hard time remembering the title.

Bloody hell. I can only imagine how nut busted you're going to be when you get back to London. Poor bastard.
Regardless, it sounds like one adventurous journey, man. I wish you luck.
I have to ask though - Is this to raise money for a charity or purely for the hell of it?

You are brave, mate!
Cheers to you and your balls. I don't know how you'll do it, but it sounds awesome.

That is quite the challenge. I will not be able to do that!
Best of luck on your endeavours!

Well, as EverNothing defined it, it's purely a bloody adventure but i must admit that I admire his gut, dedication, courage and his will.
