Princess Cruises have 17 ships operating and cruise to over 350 different destinations. Their ships capacity ranges from 700 - 3000 passengers, and they have numerous cruise operating out of Australia; specifically Sydney and Brisbane.
They tend to cater to a bit more of a luxury market than the 'standard' P&O cruise, and seem to be targetting those have cruise experience and want that extra bit of service or style.
Feel free to discuss anything and everything related to Princess Cruises here :)

Hi - this is my first time on this forum, so I hope I am doing things the right way.
My husband and I are booked to go on a cruise on the Ruby Princess on July 28th next year (2010). We start in Venice, then onto Dubrovnik, Corfu, Olympia, Athens, Mykonos, Ephesus, Rhodes, Santorini, Capri and finishing up in Rome.
We have booked an oceanview cabin (unobstructed view). I am a little concerned that there will be long queues getting on and off the ship because of the large volume of passengers.........and I believe meals are not necessarily to set times but can be anytime. Could you give me feedback on my questions?
Thank you.

Hi Kaztez,
Firstly, welcome to ATF :)
That cruise sounds amazing! How long is it for?
Unfortunately, lining up to board is part of the process. Im not aware of any cruise liner that can avoid this, just due to the sheer numbers. Obviously they try and keep it to a minimum and there are usually seats provided in the waiting area, but you can expect to have to wait for a bit. On the bright side, you check your bags in early so dont have to worry about them, as they get taken to your room for you.
I have never been on a Princess Cruise so can't comment on the meal times sorry.
If you have time during or after the trip you can post a journal for ATF members to read here (http://www.aussietravellersforum.com.au/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=16) and upload any photo's you want here (http://www.aussietravellersforum.com.au/forums/album.php)

Anyone cruising "Crown Princess"- depart 29/01/2011 on 7 day Western Caribbean cruise?
If so, would like to hear from you. Have been on only one other Princess cruise, departed Tahiti Nov. 2009 and it was excellent!
