Let's discuss our favourite commemorations, fairs, fetes, galas & jubilees in this thread.
...
I've been a bit busy lately because it's Mad March here in Adelaide (don't worry, this place is a ghost town for the next 11 months) and haven't really been home one night for the past two weeks. The Adelaide Festival of Arts, Fringe Festival & Womadelaide have all been keeping me busy and this past weekend I headed out to the Clipsal 500 to watch the races.
For international tourists browsering through these forums I hope some of you manage to visit our fair state next year around the same time to enjoy the festivities. A lot of concerts, ceremonies and street parties are free of charge but even the stuff you have to pay for is relatively cheap and there's something for everyone.
Cabaret, Circus, Comedy, Dance, Film, Music, Puppetry, Theatre, Visual Arts!!!
BTW - I don't think it's a coincidence that this place suddenly became cooler when Prawn left, haha. :p
