Im not sure how many members out there have pets, but if you do, do you travel with them?
Why/why not?
If you do, what are some pet friendly locations and destinations?

We are very blessed to have a pet sitter who loves our animals. We've had one or two horror stories when she wasn't available and we went with someone else, but by and large we've had very positive experiences with pet sitters...:)

I have a few pets, two dogs to be exact. Though I admit, I would never bring them anywhere. It just seems like a hassle that I do not want to have to deal with. Not to mention it would probably cost me a little bit extra to have them included. It isn't like I am leaving for very long either. I have no problem leaving them with a neighbor for a week.

We always just let our neighbours look after our pets also, but i know a lot of people like to take their pets with them and its a growing industry, so i was wondering if anyone here takes their pets on holidays :)

So long as my travel does not involve planes I love to bring my dog along. In the past I had issues bringing parrots back from Florida so I will not put my dog on a plane. I seem to know people all over the place so pet friendly lodging is never an issue.:)
The attached pictures are of my Weimaraner that we adopted a month or so ago. My kids like to dress him up.

Hey buddy,
It is a nice topic :p, Yup I have pet, But I don't like to travel with it. Because, I love pets but I am not crazy about them.If we travel with pets, then we have to take necessary things for it, so need extra time. Not only that, Some hotels will NOT allow pets:eek: then that will be an issue......Likewise there are lot of reasons for this. However, I agree that there are people who love to travel with their pets, That is their personal wish - I don't say that is CRAZY.... But that is my opinion.:p
Cheers to read great topics here, I really missed these wonderful posts in this forum, hope to read more :) as I am in X-Mas holidays,
Cheers,

We actually packed up our pet rats in their travelling cage and took them with us for xmas.
Just went to my old mans place, so didnt have to worry about a hotel or anything, but it was good to be able to take them along with us. We think they enjoyed it, but its a bit hard to tell what a rat is thinking....

lol, I use to have a couple. They loved to find strike anywhere matches and chew on them until they lit. More than once they set their cage on fire until we could finally locate and dispose of all of the matches. They also liked to get stoned but that's another story.
