Hello everyone,

Is it true that Thailand had the policy that candidates with a recognized bachelor's degree will be subjected to 1 year of full-time service if they picked the random draft, or 6 months if they volunteer at their respective district office (Sasadee).

I just talked with my colleague and he said that if you have chosen "military classes" in high school for 3 years, you don't have to go to the random draft.

If you volunteer, you need to go for one year. If you are picked in random draft, you need to do two years, although duration can be different in different units. Draft includes lady boys and monks as well.
